On June 27, 2023, the International African American Museum (IAAM) officially opened in Charleston, South Carolina. Located at Gadsden\’s Wharf, a historic site where many enslaved Africans arrived in America, the museum aims to honor the untold stories of African-Americans and their contributions to the nation\’s history.
